The Ramseys

Yesterday was gallery delivery day for Mr. and Mrs. Ramsey. I deeply enjoyed getting to relive this precious day through the editing process. Now onto the scrapbook portion-

Charlece and Wesley were married on May 14th, 2021 at the Royal Ridge Barns in Royal, Arkansas. The day started around 10:00 a.m. sharp to quickly run through the ceremony process before the greatly anticipated day. From the start, the laughter and ease was plentiful.

The sweet family that runs the Royal Ridge Barns jumped into work meticulously prepping their stunning space. They were so helpful from grabbing me a ladder for family photos to making sure the fire was running. Their venue flawlessly embodied Charlece’s aesthetic- a combo of glam and vintage.

Then I was onto photographing the details. I love when details are derived from history and tradition. Wesley’s ring has been passed down through multiple generations, and when Wesley told his Maw-Maw back in 2020 that he wanted to marry Charlece, she gave him the ring that her beloved passed husband Charlie gifted her. In the bridal suite, Charlece’s Nana got to work on crafting calligraphy in their guest book. Charlece’s something blue was a hand-stitched swatch from Nana and Pappy. The Ramseys’ grandparents mean the world to them, and it was apparent throughout these intricate elements.

The Glam Squad- Makayla Robinson (Hair) and Jadyn Perkins (Makeup)- began their beauty process. The bridesmaids were Charlece’s ultimate hype girls throughout the morning, and Charlece’s mother, Becca, and aunt, Shannon, were there to help the bride with anything she needed. The bridal suite was full of a thrilling suspense to finally get their girl married.

Jokes, jabs, and joy sprinkled throughout the grooms suite. This wedding was particular special to me because I knew almost all the groomsmen and bridesmaids from college. I knew I had to capture a timeless, dramatic look to fit the vintage vibes of the day, and I think groomsmen photos are especially powerful when the boys wear suspenders, providing a contrast up next to this groom in grey.

The girls were SO pumped to get their bestie to the altar. Their first look was priceless. Charlece is blessed with an amazing group of friends. It was a special day for them because Char was the first one in their gal gang to get married, and they did not fail in celebrating all day long.

Charlece’s Maid of Honor- Hayley- was at Char’s assistance the entirety of the day. From holding the bouquet to meticulously preparing the details, Hayley was the MoH that every bride dreams of. Wesley’s Sister, Audrey, was also particularly helpful throughout the day. She too was married at the Royal Ridge Barns, so she had the BEST advice on the places to take photos and providing other venue details. Also, I’m pretty sure she put on every groom’s boutonnière.

It was finally time for the first look, but before Wes saw his bride, the Man of Honor- Sam- had to catch Wes by surprise. These two are quite a funny duo.

At last, Wesley embraced his Bride.

Words cannot truly capture this awe-inspiring couple, but I hope these photos do. They are the ultimate balance between sentiment, charisma, and happiness. Any anxieties that were cast upon the two slipped away as they reunited.

The ceremony started at 6:30, captured in stunning golden hour surrounded by nature. I had the pleasure of meeting the gal behind the florals- Sarah Beth, the owner of Oh Hey Bouquet. Sarah Beth has the most lovely personality, and only just graduating High School, she is one of the most impressive people I’ve ever met.

The ceremony was officiated by Charlece’s Pappy- cue the tears. He spoke words of wisdom, celebration, and honor before the first kiss. It was an elegant ceremony, flawlessly introducing the Ramseys to the world.

Introducing, Mr. and Mrs. Ramsey.

Charlece and Wesley jumped into their first dance gazing around with gratitude at all who came to the celebrate. To know Charlece is to know downright comedy; so of course the father-daughter dance evolved into “Old Town Road” and the duo waving everyone into the circle to dance.

Let’s Party!

There’s something about a good-tasting wedding cake that enhances a reception, and Taste of Eden Bakery did not disappoint.

Then, it was time to dance with the fun Johnny Rox Productions. With their extroverted energy, the Ramseys are the epitome of life of the party. It was a blast of a reception.

These two love birds are off to accomplish big things. Capturing their wedding meant the absolute world to me, and I’m so glad I was able to play a part. It was truly a fabulous day from start to finish. It was such a fun celebration and I loved getting to see their friends and their families all day long! What I loved about the day wasn’t just about the blushing colors, elegant decor, and glowing light, it was getting to see these two finally be pronounced husband and wife.

A big thank you to all of the vendors that helped out to make the Ramsey’s day all come together so eloquently!
